BRADFORD Bulls have handed a new one-year deal to prop Eribe Doro, who has impressed since signing for the club last month from Halifax.

He becomes the 14th retention so far for Bulls, as their squad starts to take shape for 2024.

Doro’s final game for Fax came in their Challenge Cup defeat to St Helens in May, with Bulls making a move at the start of August to bring him in until the end of the season.

Doro made his debut in the win over Newcastle on Sunday, August 20, and has since featured for the club against Swinton and Featherstone.

Discussing his decision to stay at Odsal, Doro told the club: “It was an easy choice for me to make. From day one I've felt nothing but welcomed by the boys, staff and the fans.

“I’ve really enjoyed my rugby on and off the field, which is the most important thing to me.

“It's a massive club and from the conversations I've had, it’s one that is going in the right direction and it has the ambition to match. To be a part of it all was a no brainer to me.”

“I feel like Bradford Bulls is a club that I can grow and improve with, as well as reach the places I want to reach.”

Incoming head coach Eamon O’Carroll is pleased to have Doro as part of his squad for next year too, saying: “In Eribe’s short time here he has played to a very high standard and impressed staff both on and off the field.”

"He has all the attributes to be one of a top front rowers in the competition.”

“I feel like Bradford will be the perfect fit for Eribe to progress and further develop, and I look forward to working with him next season.”
