BRADFORD Bulls have confirmed that Brad England was left shook up by his car accident on Friday after training but are hopeful of him playing this weekend at home to Featherstone.

Interim head coach Lee Greenwood provided an update on the 28-year-old, who signed a new deal with Bulls earlier this month, as well as his fellow back-rower Chester Butler, while winger Ben Blackmore remains a doubt going forward, after missing the clash against Swinton.

Giving an injury update to the T&A, Greenwood said: “Brad trained on Tuesday night, so we’ll see how he is for the weekend.

“He would have played against Swinton on Sunday, but he was a bit shook up by what happened on Friday, and had a bit of pain in his arm in the aftermath.

“But we hope he’s available for Featherstone.”

Butler, who fractured his hand last month, is set for a slightly longer wait, with Greenwood confirming: “Chester is back in training now, and he could be fit for York on September 10.”

As for Blackmore, Greenwood admitted: “We’re unsure on Ben as he’s got an ongoing back issue.

“Often it clears up in a week, but other times it takes longer.

“Right now we’re just not sure how he’ll be this week.”
