BRADFORD Bulls has announced that Brad England has signed a new one-year deal to remain at the club in 2024.

The 28-year-old arrived at Odsal Stadium prior to the start of the 2021 season, instantly impressing with his no-nonsense approach.

England has since gone on to make 45 appearances in the red, amber and black - scoring six tries.

The back row star admits it’s an exciting time to be at the club - insisting there’s nowhere else he’d rather be.

“I am delighted to be staying for another year, there’s a real buzz about the place at the minute, the club has taken big steps forward and i want to keep progressing here,” said England.

“Me and my family are really happy here; we love the fans and the atmosphere they create, so there’s no other club I want to play at. I’ve got a young boy on the way now and can’t wait to bring him to his first Bulls game.

On player retentions within the squad, England said: “It’s massive because there is a great bond between the current playing group and a real belief in the changing rooms that we can achieve something special so to retain the majority of the players can only increase that.

“It is an exciting time for the club, we’ve had a good season up to date we’re in a good league position now, we want to keep building towards the play offs and everyone believes we can beat anyone on our day.

“It has been a stop start year for me, that is the nature of the sport, but I feel like I have been playing well when available and I am fully fit now, so I can’t wait to get stuck in for the business end of the season.

“The fans have been great to me since the moment I arrived at the club. I can’t thank them enough for their support and I look forward to repaying them on the field for the remainder of this year and next.”

Incoming Bulls’ boss Eamon O’Carroll said: “I am pleased that we have managed to retain Brad for a further 12 months. Recruitment is a focus for us at the moment but it’s even more important to us that we retain current squad members.

“Brad is proud to play for our club and he is eager to improve. I am looking forward to working with him and I am happy that our squad is starting to take shape.”
