One of Bradford Bulls' most bitter rivals have announced a change at the top.
Halifax Panthers' long-serving boss Simon Grix is departing the club at the end of the season, and his replacement has now been confirmed
Grix's former assistant at The Shay, Liam Finn, will be the new man to take over at the Panthers from 2024.
Finn is currently in charge of Betfred League 1 leaders Dewsbury, with the Rams having virtually secured promotion back to the Championship.
Grix, meanwhile, is rumoured to be taking on a Super League role at Hull FC.
As it stands, Fax sit two points behind Bradford, with the Panthers occupying sixth place and the final play-off spot.
They are only a point clear of London Broncos and Widnes though, and visit the former this weekend in the league.
Regardless of what happens in the second tier, Halifax have already ensured a trophy for 2023, having beaten Batley 12-10 in the 1895 Cup final last Saturday.
