Bradford Bulls Women look nailed on to finish second-bottom of Group Two of Women’s Super League, but that would still be enough to get them into a play-off semi-final for promotion.
They remain in fifth, above winless Castleford, but are now five points behind fourth-placed Salford Red Devils after losing to them 30-4 at the weekend.
Salford were 14-0 up at the break, and though Bulls did score a try in the right corner with 15 minutes to go, it proved to be the smallest of consolations.
Millen Downs is currently serving a four-match ban for the ladies, having been found guilty of Grade E punching at a tribunal.
The incident occurred during Bulls’ previous game, a defeat to Leigh last month.
