Lee Greenwood says each week presents a different challenge for his Bradford Bulls side but believes if his players perform to their ability, they should achieve a play-off place.

Barrow visit Odsal tomorrow night and sit a point off safety, but they mauled Bulls in the reverse fixture and only lost 20-10 to runaway leaders Featherstone last time out.

Greenwood said: “If we perform well, the results will follow.

“With the players we have, if they perform to their ability, we’ll come in the top six, but we’ll only finish where we deserve to and we know that every week presents a different challenge.

Barrow gave us a lesson up there in May, in what was Mark Dunning’s last game, and they’ve won their last three matches against us, which gives us plenty to think about.”

It should be Bulls’ last game of the season in the dreaded Monday night slot, but Greenwood reflected: “I’ve not even thought about that and they might rejig the schedule ahead of the play-offs anyway, so we could end up on a Monday then.

“It looks more challenging for Barrow than us, as they’ll have to travel like we did to Widnes.

“It’s not easy having a weekday evening game when you’re part time, as you’ve got to either book a day off or come straight from work.

“We’re back at home, where we’ve done well, but losing those last three games to them and having them fighting for their lives is a bigger challenge than the game being on a Monday.”

And the 15-day break between facing Whitehaven and Barrow has had its benefits, with Greenwood saying: “It’s been good just to concentrate on training, not with a game in mind, and putting a few things in place.

“It’s harder to improve on those things when you’ve only got three sessions before a game, but we’ve had double the amount of time to prepare than normal.

“It’s also allowed an extra week of rehab for those guys who were missing with injury, and given the lads who picked up knocks at Whitehaven extra time to recover.”
