Interim head coach Lee Greenwood wants Bulls to keep Fenton Rogers for the run in, but that is not guaranteed.
He said: "We're hopeful of having him for those final eight games and the play-offs if that's workable, but with loan players you know they can go back at any point.
"We know we've got him for at least the next two games but then we're at the mercy of Huddersfield.
"Selfishly we hope he stays until the end of the season and we're certainly glad he's back.
"We'd much rather he was here, on the chance that we will have him for the rest of the season, instead of turning down Huddersfield's offer for us to have him back because we were worried about the risk of him being recalled."
They will be glad to have Rogers in the forward pack to face Batley the week after Barrow, with Brad England once again absent.
He returns from a two-match ban to face Barrow, but was hit with a Grade B striking charge after Bulls' reserves game against Hull KR last week.
That means an extra one-game ban for England, ruling him out of the clash against the Bulldogs on Sunday, August 6.
