BULLS’ interim head coach Lee Greenwood was coy on the rumours surrounding talented half-back Myles Lawford at present, insisting all he can focus on is the youngster’s development.

The teenager is shining on loan at Hunslet in League 1 at present, and there are reportedly seven Super League clubs looking to snap him up, and pay the Bulls around £40,000 for his services.

While the money would be welcome, it would be sad to see Bradford lose another talent from their academy at such a young age, with George Flanagan Jr already off to Huddersfield next year.

When the speculation was put to him, Greenwood said: “I’ve no idea and all I can control is Myles’ development.

“As for what happens with Myles beyond this year, those are bigger conversations to be had at the club that are beyond my remit.”

He added: “We currently have Myles, Marcus Green and Jaden Barraclough out on loan and that’s been fantastic for their development, playing against men, week in, week out.

“It gets them closer to first-team contention for us than in an inconsistent reserves programme.

“I chat to the three of them every week and we discuss what they’re doing well and what they can improve on.

“We’ll see if the time comes if they’re ready to slot into our first-team set-up, and we do think Myles and Marcus are close to that.”

As for any potential incomings for Sunday’s clash with Whitehaven, Greenwood said: “We are looking at bringing in new faces.

“We’re light on front-rowers having lost three a couple of weeks back and we looked light on forwards on Monday, though we couldn’t get anyone in in time to face Widnes.

“That’s not why we lost but it did contribute.

“Anyone coming in has to be right for us though, we don’t want someone coming in short-term for one or two games.

“We’ll look at the existing squad first, as anyone we bring in has to be better than we’ve already got and we’d want them on a long-term or permanent deal.
