BRADFORD City have announced the signing of exciting forward Tyler Smith on a three-year deal.

The 24-year-old arrives at the University of Bradford Stadium having rejected offers from across the EFL, penning a contract until the summer of 2026.

Beginning his senior career at Sheffield United, Smith took in loan spells at Bristol Rovers, Swindon Town, Doncaster Rovers, Barrow and Rochdale before moving to Hull City in 2021.

He appeared 37 times in the Championship for the Tigers over two years, as well as spending time on loan at Oxford United last season.

Smith said: “I am delighted to get the deal done. I just cannot wait to start.

“There has been work behind the scenes for a while now, but it is nice to get it done early on, so I can get to work.

“I am an energetic and hard-working striker, who likes to make runs in behind, and play off the shoulder.

“I have got experience in the Championship, and I can bring that here, where hopefully I can contribute to goals.

“This is a massive club, the biggest in the division, and I am looking forward to hopefully helping the boys go one better this season and get promoted.”

Bantams boss Mark Hughes said: “Tyler is a player we have held an interest in for a long period of time, so we are delighted to be able to welcome him to the club.

“He is a pacy striker with the ability to run in behind and stretch defences, as well as obviously possessing a clear goal threat.

“He has experience of playing at a high level, having spent the past two years in the Championship with Hull City, and will bring something a little different to our forward line.

“We are looking forward to having Tyler with us as we begin pre-season training this week, and I am sure you will join me in wishing him a warm welcome.”
