THERE were a couple of feelgood stories to emerge from Bradford Bulls’ 84-6 win over London Broncos at the weekend in Reserves Rugby League, aside from the emphatic success.
One was Connor Wynne, the versatile back on loan at Odsal from Hull FC.
In a season where loans and dual-registration have caused unrest among fans and players, the deal to bring in Wynne from the MKM Stadium looked to be the worst of the lot, given he arrived in BD6 as an injured player.
He has not seen a minute of action in the Betfred Championship for the first-team, but after 10 weeks out, he returned to play a starring role in that reserves win, crossing the line for two tries.
And despite being a Super League player, he was nevertheless delighted to get this reserves game for a Championship side under his belt:
First 80 mins in the bag this year, well needed game time after almost 10 weeks out and not done 80 mins since last year. Looking to kick on now, big shout out to physio staff been awesome getting me back @OfficialBullsRL ✌️🙌

There was also surely a rugby league first involving the Flanagans.
Hooker George Senior and full-back George Junior both lined up for Bulls on Saturday and Broncos struggled to contain both 36-year-old and 18-year-old.
The pair managed a hat-trick of tries apiece, while the teenager added 12 conversions too.
