CITY fans hoping to see Romoney Crichlow back next season are likely to be disappointed.
The defender is looking for a new club this summer after his contract was not renewed by Huddersfield.
That has inevitably had Bantams supporters keeping their fingers crossed that he could be lured back on a permanent basis after his season-long loan.
But it is understood that Crichlow is targeting a move to a higher level and does not want to play in League Two again.
Crichlow made 41 appearances on loan for City and scored once - the dramatic last-gasp winner at Northampton last month.
He put out a farewell to the Valley Parade faithful on Twitter after the play-off exit to Carlisle.
Crichlow said: “Physical and mental pain all over that. Sorry we couldn’t give you that fairy-tale ending Bantams.
“Thank you for everything. It’s been an honour to wear the shirt and perform in front of such great fans all year.”
