THEY have become familiar names - even to those of us who never knew them.

Families, ages - 56 real people caught up in an unreal situation not of their making.

Today we remember them.

We think of the excitement that will have surrounded an occasion when Bradford City were parading the title at the end of a terrific season.

We recall the horror at the events that then unfolded.

We remember them.

We think of the bravery of those who did so much to help in scenes that could never be imagined.

We think of the stoicism of a city continuing to put on a brave face as it grieved its terrible loss.

We remember them.

Today at 11am we will pause and reflect.

Thirty-eight years on from that tragic day, we remember them.

We will always remember them.
