BRADFORD Bulls academy starlet Jacob Bateman has been named in Yorkshire's Academy squad for the first of their three-game Origin series against Lancashire.
The young back rower, who came through the ranks at Birkenshaw Blue Dogs, has started the season in impressive fashion for Bulls’ Under-18s.
He also scored in their most recent outing, which was an impressive 78-16 win over Newcastle Thunder.
The first Origin game in the three-match series takes place at Castleford’s Mend-A-Hose Stadium on Friday, April 28, and kicks off at 7pm.
Several Bulls youngsters, including the likes of Myles Lawford and George Flanagan Jr, represented Yorkshire in these fixtures last year.
