SCOTT Banks is one of the most creative players in League Two according to new stats.
A performance rating algorithm has been developed by BetVictor to assess the creative output of every player in the fourth tier - and City’s on-loan winger is currently second on the list.
Only Jordan Roberts at Stevenage has a higher ranking than the Bantams flyer.
The performance of every player in the league was analysed across two key metrics: chances created per 90 minutes and expected assists (xA) per 90 minutes.
These metrics were combined in a unique ‘creator rating’, a summary measure of both chance frequency and chance quality.
Chances created provides insight into the frequency at which players are creating opportunities, whereas expected assists (xA) provides insight into the quality of those opportunities – some chances are naturally better than others.
Combining the two metrics into the ‘creator rating’ identifies the players with the optimal per 90-minute (per game) output in terms of both chance frequency and chance quality.
