ABO Eisa’s season is not over, insisted Mark Hughes.
The striker is making progress after his latest hamstring injury.
Eisa hasn’t played since the Barrow game in February - City’s last defeat - when he came off injured at half-time.
It is not the same issue that wrecked his first year at Valley Parade but has come as yet another setback for a player who is out of contract in the summer.
But Mark Hughes has offered some words of encouragement for Eisa.
“Abo joined in the warm-up yesterday,” said the City boss. “He’s progressing well.
“He hasn’t had any setbacks so hopefully he will be available for selection.
“There was a worry that he might be out for the season but that’s not going to be the case. That’s good news for him.
“He’s been with the physios for a number of weeks now and he took part in the warm-up in the early part of the session. So he’s building up to be available again.”
