JAMIE Walker was sent off in his first start for over five months as City’s 10 men drew at Wimbledon.

The Scot, on a booking for a rash challenge in the first half, was dismissed just before the hour after a second yellow.

But the Bantams battled to make sure they left south London with a share of the spoils.

The first half was quite open but featureless with neither keeper seriously tested.

Harry Lewis made a routine save from Alex Pearce’s header and Walker, starting his first game since opening day in place of Harry Chapman, fired an ambitious effort over the bar.

Mark Hughes gave an instant debut to Burnley loanee Dara Costelloe. He played for just under an hour, coming off after Vadaine Oliver went close with a header cleared off the line by Hus Biler.

But then Walker got his marching orders following a second yellow and City were on the back foot.

Harry Lewis saved from George Marsh and then tipped away Ethan Chislett’s free-kick from the top corner.

But Richie Smallwood almost snatched a late win with a fizzing drive that had Nik Tzanev at full stretch.
