MARK Hughes has had his say on City’s proposed change of club badge.

The planned new image, unveiled yesterday, has stirred up plenty of reaction among fans - who have until next Wednesday night to give their opinion in a survey.

The current crest has been on City’s shirts for over 30 years and the Bantams boss agrees that the supporters should have their say before any changes are made.

Hughes said this afternoon: “I was shown the presentation and I could understanding the thinking behind it when I read through it.

“When you make a radical change to something that’s been a big part of the club historically for a number of years, then change is a little bit difficult for people.

“The important thing is everybody is consulted and the fans will get an opportunity to have their say and rightly so.

“We’ll see what comes of it at some point, whether or not it stays the same or there are tweaks to the design that’s been put out there. I think the process is the right way to go about it.

“A lot of clubs have done it and it does garner a reaction, I think it’s fair to say. It’s just getting to a point where everybody is reasonably comfortable and you can move forward.”
