ABO Eisa has got a tick in the box from Mark Hughes after his return to City training.

The winger is back working with the squad at Apperley Bridge this week as he tries again to kick-start his injury-wrecked time with the club.

Eisa is still to play a full game for the Bantams since joining from Scunthorpe in the summer of 2021.

Two serious hamstring injuries wrote him off in his first campaign and he suffered another setback when he came back in pre-season.

But Eisa has now been given the green light to join in again with full training sessions.

Hughes said: “He’s good to go so that’s great news for him and us alike.

“Every time the sheet comes in in the morning, for the most part it’s been a cross by Abo’s name or some recommendations in terms of what he’s allowed to do.

“But Abo got a tick on Monday so that’s great for him. He’s now training again with the group with no restrictions.

“He’s clearly not match fit and is going to need a body of work before he can be considered. But it’s an important step.”

Eisa underwent hamstring surgery last season which kept him out for over four months. He returned to come on as a sub in the final game against Carlisle.
