BRADFORD Bulls have announced the capture of vastly-experienced Championship winger Ben Blackmore on a one-year deal.

The former Featherstone and Sheffield star, who has made over 170 Championship appearances to date, joins the club from local rivals Dewsbury Rams, having signed there for the 2022 season.

Blackmore, who will be a familiar face to many Bulls fans, has faced the club during his time at Featherstone and Sheffield, for whom he scored 69 tries combined.

The 29-Year-old will be looking to strengthen Bradford's wing options for 2023, with his experience invaluable in what is shaping up to be a competitive Championship.

Commented on joining the Bradford Bulls for 2023, Blackmore said: " I am over the moon to have signed at a big club, one that is looking to build itself back up and has ambitions to return to Super League, I am really excited.

"There were a few factors that convinced me to sign here for 2023, One of them being that I was a Bulls supporter when I was young

"When I spoke to (Bulls head coach) Mark Dunning, it's clear that we had the same views, we want to climb the ladder and we both got on really well.

"I'm excited for a fresh start at Bradford and I have high hopes for next year."

Blackmore added: "I am coming to build from the back, to put the hard yards in and to get the team on the front foot.

"I'm actually good mates with George (Flanagan) and he always raves about the club when I speak to him.

"I've been on the wrong end of the Bradford fans a few times so it'll be nice to have them singing my name.

"They're some of the best fans in rugby league so I'm really excited."
