BRADFORD Bulls half-back Dec Patton could be set for a season-ending ban.
In the melee at Headingley that saw Halifax's Joe Martin sent off, it was hard to tell exactly what went on.
But having reviewed the footage, the RFL's Match Review Panel have charged Patton with a Grade E offence of eye-gouging.
That has now been referred to a tribunal, with Patton's fate to be decided next week.
Grade E offences usually carry a four to eight game ban, so there is every chance that Patton may not play again this season, after this weekend's game against Workington.
George Flanagan was also charged by the Match Panel after sin-binning for dissent, but his Grade A Disputes Decision charge has not led to a ban of any kind.
