MARTIN Drury is poised to move to a new role at Manchester United, according to a report by Training Ground Guru.

They claim that Drury has been appointed as United’s new under-15s lead coach and will start his job on Monday, August 8.

Drury has been with the Bantams for six years in various coaching positions within the academy.

He was promoted as part of the new set-up when Edin Rahic controversially named Michael Collins as head coach in the summer of 2018 alongside Drury and Greg Abbott.

Drury remained as assistant boss for David Hopkin and Gary Bowyer and took City for one game in caretaker charge against Portsmouth.

He oversaw City’s successful under-18s campaign last season as senior technical and tactical coach and was named the head of coaching and player development with the academy in March.

Training Ground Guru’s report says that United’s academy coaching has been revamped since Neil Wood’s departure to become Salford boss.

Cardiff academy manager David Hughes will join United as a professional development phase coach to work mainly with the club’s under-21s.
