CONOR Sellars is back in football after joining Hull’s coaching staff.

The 30-year-old has been appointed as the Tigers’ under-23 lead professional development phase coach.

Sellars said: “I’m delighted to have joined Hull City. Everyone has been so welcoming.

“The standard of the players has been good since I’ve come in and I need to get to know what their strengths and weaknesses are and work on them relentlessly so that they develop.”

Sellars became the youngest manager in the EFL when he was appointed permanently in joint charge at City with Mark Trueman in February 2021. The pair led the Bantams for 30 games after succeeding Stuart McCall.

He left Valley Parade at the end of that season after turning down the chance to stay with the club in an academy role.

Former Bantams striker Billy Clarke is currently Hull’s under-18s assistant manager.

Meanwhile, Clayton Donaldson has signed for Gainsborough Trinity.

The 38-year-old said: “I am still fit and hungry - and want to play, everything fitted.

“We got down to the nitty gritty - and opportunities to be involved with aspects of the coaching while I study for my UEFA A Licence, it all worked."
