BEN Evans is leaving Bulls when his contract expires.

The Welsh international has put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal with Bradford's fellow Championship side Barrow.

The forward will link up with the Cumbrian outfit from 2023, when his deal at Odsal runs out, so he will be available for Bulls until the end of this season.

Evans joined Bradford ahead of the 2021 campaign, having just spent two years at Toulouse Olympique.

He featured in all but two games for Bulls last term, largely playing at prop under John Kear, and scored five tries.

This season has been a bit more stop-start for Evans, as he had to recover from a hamstring injury at the beginning of the year.

That means his appearances have largely been from the interchange bench, but he has still only missed three competitive games all term.

This is Evans' second spell at Bulls, having come in on loan back in 2013 from Warrington when the Odsal outfit still played in Super League.

Though a hip injury delayed his debut, he went on to play 17 times for Bradford back then.

After that loan at Bulls, Evans also had temporary spells at Leigh and Rochdale, before joining London Broncos permanently in 2017.

In a statement announcing his departure today, Bulls said: "Everyone at the club wishes Ben and his family every future success.

"We also thank Ben for his considerable contribution since he joined the club back in 2021 from Toulouse Olympique.

"We would like to reassure our supporters that Ben remains 100 per cent committed to the Bradford Bulls for 2022 and in reaching our goal of finishing in the Championship play-offs."

Evans himself tweeted: "I would just like to thank @OfficialBullsRL for the last two years!

"This season isn’t done yet, we still have a big couple of months to go.

"A massive thank you to the Bulls fans and sponsors who have been amazing!

"Your support goes a long way!"
