CITY have been installed as joint second-favourites to win League Two.
BetVictor have released their odds following this morning's release of the fixtures, and City are just 8/1 to lift the title, as are Salford.
The only team above them are newly-promoted Stockport, who are 7/1 to finish top of the tree.
The Bantams' opening day opponents at Valley Parade, Doncaster, are joint sixth-favourites to win the league, at 14/1.
City face Barrow in their first away league game, and the Cumbrians have the longest odds when it comes to lifting the title at 66/1.
The Bantams are 13/8 to earn promotion, 11/4 to finish in the top three, and just 5/6 to end up in the top seven.
The appointment of Mark Hughes has clearly piqued the interest of the bookmakers, and perhaps the fact that City have made 11 summer signings already, with the season still over a month away.
