CITY have announced their pre-season schedule – which will include a six-day training camp in Murcia.

The Bantams will play six games in the build-up to the 2022/2023 campaign, which kicks off on Saturday, July 30.

After returning to training at Woodhouse Grove on Thursday, June 23, Mark Hughes’ side open their friendly fixture list with the traditional trip to Bradford (Park Avenue) for the Tom Banks Memorial Trophy on Friday, July 1 (7.30pm).

Two days later, they fly to Spain’s south-east coast where they will be based at the Pinatar Arena for the week.

The Bantams return home for a game at Valley Parade on Saturday, July 9 – details will be revealed in a joint announcement with the other club.

City make their first trip to York’s LNER Stadium on Saturday, July 16 to take on the newly-promoted National League side.

Sunderland, who have also gone up to the Championship, then come to Valley Parade on Tuesday, July 19 with a 7pm kick-off.

A trip to Chesterfield on Saturday, July 23 brings down the curtain for the first team, although a City XI will travel to Eccleshill United on Tuesday, July 26 (7.30pm).
