IT was one of the fiercest player rivalries in Super League, and it is now coming to the Bradford Literature Festival.

Stuart Fielden and Barrie McDermott got into their fair share of scrapes while playing for Bulls and Leeds respectively, with the latter sent off for throwing a flurry of punches at the former in a fiery clash back in 2002.

But the atmosphere should hopefully be more cordial at the end of this month.

They will be joined by RFL CEO Ralph Rimmer in conversation at the festival on Sunday, June 26.

The event is called "Rivalry or Hate?" and will take place at the Advanced Technology Centre, at Bradford College, from 6pm-7:30pm that day.

It is being sold as a "fiery discussion", but fingers crossed it does not get physical like it used to back in the day.
