A KIND-HEARTED teenager has raised more than £14,000 for her Bradford City-inspired fundraising in aid of the Burns Unit.

Georgia Thornton, 15, sells claret and amber-coloured ribbons in aid of the unit online and at Bantams matches.

In this year’s appeal she raised £2,569, taking her overall total to £14,185 for the burns unit by selling the ribbons since November 2017.

Georgia, who lives in Morecambe, is selling her ribbons, priced £1 each.

She was at the Bantams’ final game of the season in League Two, a 2-0, against Carlisle United at Valley Parade.

Georgia tweeted: “After yesterday’s collection my total for this season stands at £2,569 taking my overall total to £1️4,185 with more donations still being made. Happy to have exceeded my goal of £13K.”
