THE optimism surrounding Bradford City under Mark Hughes continued following an impressive end-of-season victory on a poignant day at Valley Parade.
The Bantams signed off their League Two campaign in style as strikes from Lee Angol and Jamie Walker, who have since signed new contracts at City, fired their side top a 2-0 win over Carlisle.
A crowd of 18,283 at Valley Parade also paid their annual respects to the 56 victims of the fire disaster 37 years ago. This will be further marked on Wednesday in Centenary Square with the first in-person ceremony in three years.
Here are a few views from City fans from social media reacting to Saturday’s final day triumph:
A signing very early in the summer of a player with quality above our level. What is this Bradford City?! #bcafc https://t.co/zJdjgaVzU9

What a coup of a signing. This is the Mark Hughes era. I compare it to Rafa at Newcastle. There seems to be a mutual love in and understanding. Up the Bantams. #bcafc
