IT FEELS like an age since City have had a player in the League Two Team of the Week, but a blistering start on Saturday has seen one man make an appearance.

The Bantams should have blown Scunthorpe away in the first half at the weekend, but somehow only found themselves 2-1 up at the break, which is how the game ended.

Those two goals for City came in the opening five minutes, courtesy of Jamie Walker and Charles Vernam.

And the latter has been named in that League Two Team of the Week for his all-round performance.

The team, powered by WhoScored.com ratings, is managed by former City favourite Michael Flynn, who led his Walsall side to a fine 2-0 win over promotion challenging Port Vale on Saturday.

Meanwhile, ex-Bantams midfielder Timothee Dieng has been named in Sky Sports' League Two Team of the Season.

Dieng has hit 12 league goals this season for Exeter, who are on the cusp of automatic promotion.

No current City players are in that Team of the Season.
