LEVI Sutton is targeting a City return before the end of the Easter programme.

The midfielder has missed the last two games after suffering a hernia-type injury in training.

But Sutton is stepping up his recovery work this week with an eye on possibly being back involved at Colchester on Monday.

Mark Hughes said: “Levi still hasn’t come back to the main group but he’s a lot more positive.

“I think it’s settled down really quickly, which was the hope. He’s faced a similar situation before with it and it’s settled quickly in the past.

“Hopefully by Thursday he should be back with the group. That’s the hope and the intention.

“Friday (at home to Tranmere) might be a little bit soon for him but hopefully the following game he could be available.”
