DION Pereira has suffered another setback as he waits to kick his first ball in a City shirt.

The Luton winger was the first of the seven recruits in the January window.

But he is yet to appear because of illness and injury.

And Derek Adams revealed this afternoon that he will still be sidelined for a bit longer.

Adams said: “Dion will be a couple of weeks. He’s reinjured the calf injury that he had so that’s an issue to us and we’ll just have to forget about him for now.”

City are waiting on the scan results to find out how long Charles Vernam will be missing. But Jamie Walker is fine after being taken off with a sore groin in the Leyton Orient draw.

Long-term absentee Lee Angol has also been told that he will not need surgery on his injured left hamstring.

“Lee doesn’t require an operation, which is good,” added Adams. “He is one we obviously miss but he’ll be a number of weeks away from returning.”

Adams also confirmed that deadline-day captures Nathan Delfouneso and Luke Hendrie will both be included in the 18-man squad for Saturday’s game at Harrogate.
