PAUDIE O’Connor will NOT miss City’s next game against Colchester after his fifth yellow card this season.

The centre half was booked at Exeter after a skirmish with home striker Sam Nombe.

But yellows in the FA Cup are not included in the EFL tally. Only reds – as in Lee Angol’s case from the “game that never happened” – carry over to different competitions.

The disciplinary deadline for an automatic one-match suspension on hitting five EFL bookings has just passed after 19 league games – which City reached when they drew with Scunthorpe last weekend.

Players will now only be suspended if they hit 10 bookings by the 37th league game. That carries a two-game ban.

Barring any rearranged fixtures for the Bantams between now and then, that disciplinary deadline will fall after the midweek trip to Hartlepool on March 15.

Niall Canavan and Elliot Watt also went into referee Charles Breakspear’s book at St James Park as Derek Adams admitted his side got “bullied” by Exeter.

Adams was very unhappy with the way City conceded both goals as the home side came from behind to clinch a 2-1 win and a second-round trip to Cambridge on Saturday.

He said: “I’ve never known an Exeter side to bully teams but they did that to us in the second half.

“That’s not being disrespectful to them. That’s just my take.

“They are a young team who get the ball and pass it and they bullied us in two situations to get the goals.”

The City boss had argued that the rescheduled tie should have taken place at a neutral venue.

But he also felt that Exeter’s error in playing a sixth sub in the original replay was down to the officials on the night rather than their opponents.

“I don’t think Exeter did anything wrong,” he added. “They were allowed to do something wrong by the officials.”
