CITY will be boosted by the return of Abo Eisa and Liam Ridehalgh for their TV date at Port Vale.

Derek Adams confirmed that both are fit and pushing to be included in his squad at Vale Park on Saturday lunchtime.

Adams said this afternoon: “We’re in a better place than we have been for many weeks.

“It looks likes Ridehalgh and Eisa will be back in the 18-man squad and Lee Angol obviously came through the other night.

“Paudie O’Connor will be in the 18-man squad, so we’ve only got Andy Cook definitely out. Caolan Lavery is still a possibility.

“It’s improving and having that option on the bench increases the competition for places.”

Eisa is yet to kick a ball in League Two this season – his only Bantams appearance was as a sub at Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup.

He returned from injury to be on the bench at Newport last month but then suffered another setback. Ridehalgh has been out for the last five games.

Adams added: “Abo hasn’t played a minute in a league game and Lee Angol has played limited minutes as well. Having Liam Ridehalgh back will also help us and you have seen that over the weeks we are becoming stronger.”

The City boss expects to have a better picture on top scorer Cook’s situation tomorrow following his hamstring scan earlier in the week.
