FORMER Bradford Bulls interim chairman Eric Perez is taking a new team into League 1 next season, but it is not Ottawa Aces.
The Canadian outfit were expected to join rugby league's third tier for next season, but, under chairman Perez, they have instead rebranded as Cornish Rebels.
Attempts to keep the club in North America proved in vain due to coronavirus complications, so Perez has decided to relocate them over 3,000 miles across the Atlantic to Cornwall.
They are not the only League 1 team to rebrand this week either.
Coventry Bears, perhaps looking to have a broader appeal as a team outside of the traditional rugby league heartlands, now call themselves Midlands Hurricanes.
