CITY bounced back to form to register their second away win of the season with a 3-1 victory at Swindon yesterday.
T&A chief sports writer SIMON PARKER was at the County Ground and provides the match stats and his player ratings.
MAN OF THE MATCH
Alex Gilliead relished the chance to play in a more central role behind City’s two strikers. His flick-on set up the first goal and looked much more of a threat on the ball than he has done in recent games.
MOMENT OF THE MATCH
Here’s to you, Theo Robinson! What a stunning way to break his City duck with an explosive finish from only his second touch on the pitch.
MOAN OF THE MATCH
City should have had a clean sheet from such an efficient away display but were denied by the award of a soft penalty for hand ball against Paudie O’Connor.
TACTICS
Derek Adams made two changes from the Hartlepool home loss – and switched formation to three at the back. Skipper Niall Canavan was one of those on his return while Caolan Lavery got his first City start as the second striker.
Charles Vernam dropped to the bench while Callum Cooke did not travel because of a bruised foot.
