IT was a tough slog for City down in South Wales on Saturday, but they emerged with a creditable 0-0 draw from their trip to Newport.

And one player stood out so much for the Bantams, that he has been named in the League Two Team of the Week.

He may have been on the end of some rough tackles, but Paudie O'Connor is not a man who shirks a challenge, and he was instrumental in City's clean sheet, alongside fellow centre-half Yann Songo'o.

And the Irishman's reward is a place in that Best XI for the week, in a back three alongside Leyton Orient's Omar Beckles and Tranmere's Peter Clarke.

City's Yorkshire neighbours Harrogate romped to a sensational 6-1 win over Scunthorpe, and four of their side make it into the League Two Team of the Week.
