BULLS winger Joe Brown is excited to be joining the newly-announced Championship Club of the Year, York City Knights.
York had a poor season by their standards, only finishing ninth, which included two thumping defeats at the hands of Bradford.
But they continue to impress people with their off-field work, which has led to increased attendances and a successful season for their women's team.
York also reached the 1895 Cup final at Wembley in July, where they lost a thriller 41-34 to Featherstone Rovers.
All in all, Brown joins a club in a good place, and after his arrival was announced, he said: “I’m really excited. It’s going to be a new challenge for me and it’s a bit of a fresh start.
“I’m really looking forward to seeing how my game develops over the next year or so because I’ve got a lot of improvement to do.
“You see how people like Matty Marsh have kicked on under Fordy (York head coach James Ford), I’m hoping that I can follow what he has done.
“I hope that, with a consistent year under my belt, I’ll really develop and enjoy my time at York.”
