OLLIE Crankshaw has signed for Stockport for an undisclosed fee.

It is understood that City have made a small profit on the winger, who joins the National League side on a three-year contract.

Crankshaw has been unable to break into Derek Adams’ plans at Valley Parade – his six league outings have all been from the bench this season. He did come on to set up Callum Cooke’s goal in the defeat at Crawley on Saturday.

The 23-year-old’s only full appearance this season was in the Papa John’s Trophy last week.

He started 11 times last term after signing on January deadline day and scored on his debut at Exeter.

Crankshaw said: “This is a bittersweet moment for me but I have to do what I feel is right for my footballing career and development as a player.

"I would like to start off by saying a huge thanks to all Bradford City supporters who welcomed me with open arms through Covid and during the start of this season.

"Stockport County have offered me a platform to play and achieve my aims, which I felt I could not turn down."

Adams said: "Ollie leaves with our best wishes, having received a substantial offer from Stockport which he felt he could not turn down.

"We would have liked to keep him at the club and seen him fight for his place in the side but understand and respect his decision to leave."
