DEREK Adams today revealed how pleased he will be to get Lee Angol and Abo Eisa back in the City ranks.

Both are recovering from torn hamstrings - but neither injury has required surgery and the club hope to have them back available again next month.

In Angol's case, that will be ahead of the length of time the Bantams feared he would be missing given his history with the problem last season.

Adams said this afternoon: “We’re obviously looking forward to when they come back in October.

“I think Lee’s been fantastic for us in the few games he’s played. We’ve obviously missed him.

“He’s a fantastic footballer, he scores goals and creates goals.

“Abo didn’t really get a chance to start with. He picked up an injury quite early but we’re looking forward to having them both really quickly.

“Every week you want a full squad to choose from so the sooner that happens the better.”

Striker Angol has been out since City’s 4-1 win over Stevenage while winger Eisa picked up an injury after he made his debut in the Carabao Cup at Nottingham Forest.

Both have restarted work on the training pitch this week and are said to be making “positive progress” with their rehabilitation.
