BRADFORD Bulls' home Championship clash with Sheffield Eagles has been postponed after the away side met the threshold of at least seven senior players being ruled out due to COVID-19 or as close contacts.

John Kear's men were looking to bounce back from successive narrow losses and gain revenge for the 50-12 thumping they suffered against the Eagles at the Keepmoat Stadium four months ago.

However, those plans are now out of the window for the time being with both clubs liaising with the RFL to try find a rearranged date.

The club put this statement on their website.

"Bradford Bulls are disappointed to confirm Sunday's clash with Sheffield Eagles has been postponed - at request of Sheffield under the sport's COVID-19 fixture protocols.

"The clubs will now liaise with the RFL in an attempt to find a date to rearrange the fixture, although part-time teams cannot be required to play in midweek.

"Information regarding tickets purchased for this fixture will be communicated in due course."
