BRADFORD City Women are getting their pre-season underway tomorrow, as they host Farsley Celtic at the Mitton Group Stadium.

Given the coronavirus pandemic wreaked havoc on their FA Women’s National League Division One North season, it means, remarkably, this is is City’s first home game of 2021.

City’s last game was at Barnsley on December 20, a 1-1 draw, meaning they finished the curtailed 2020/21 with just four league matches under their belts. They drew three and lost one of those.

But as well as having this Farsley game to look forward to, City have just found out their league fixtures for the 2020/21 season.

They are hosting Chorley in their first match on August 15, before visiting Durham Cestria in match two.

A midweek trip to FC United is set to follow both of those clashes, before they entertain Chester Le Street on August 29.

They then have a game at Barnsley on September 5.

City’s season is set to end with three home games in a row. They are due to host Newcastle United on March 27, before welcoming Alnwick Town on April 10.

Their final game of the season is set to be at home to Liverpool Feds on April 17.

City have hinted strongly that manager Chris Hames (pictured) is preparing to make some signings, so it could be a new-look City side that takes to the field next month.

Meanwhile, newly-promoted Brighouse Town Women, who will start their FAWNL Northern Premier Division season with a home game against Derby County, are finally in action this weekend.

They are set to host Liverpool Feds tomorrow in pre-season, having had previous friendlies against Lincoln City and Blackburn Rovers called off due to Covid issues.
