BEN Evans believes the Bulls have sized up the compact Odsal pitch.
The club continue to be given special dispensation for a playing surface whose measurements do not conform to RFL regulations because of the stock-car racing track.
The Bulls are waiting on the governing body to sort out the in-goal corners – and hope that could happen in time for Featherstone’s visit on July 25.
But prop Evans, who scored his first Bulls try in the win over Batley, feels the players are getting to grips with the tighter surroundings.
He said: “We are getting used to it. We still scored some good tries on the edges on ‘the world’s smallest pitch’.
“If we can make it a bit bigger, I think we’ll see some more expansive rugby and more tries. But we need to go forward first to earn the right on the edges and we did that in periods of the Batley game.
“You look at the pitch and it does surprise you, but you get on with it. It’s the same for both teams.”
