FORMER Bulls hooker Matt Diskin has been sacked as head coach of Oldham.

Bulls' Championship rivals have been on a dreadful run, losing all of their last seven Championship games, and nine of their opening 11.

It means they are only being kept off the bottom by Swinton, who have lost all 11 of their matches so far.

Diskin took charge of Oldham in October 2019, after a spell in charge at Batley.

His first coaching experience came when he was placed in temporary charge of Bulls back in 2014 as player/coach, following the sacking of Francis Cummins.

James Lowes took over as head coach after three games with Diskin at the helm, but Bradford were relegated from Super League at the end of that season.

Diskin played for Bulls for four seasons from 2011, scoring 13 tries in 86 appearances.
