FORMER Bradford City goalkeeper Jordan Pickford kept his second clean sheet in two games on Friday night, as England laboured to a disappointing 0-0 draw with Scotland at Euro 2020.

The Three Lions could have guaranteed qualification from Group D with victory, but laboured against their old rivals from north of the border.

Scotland created several good chances of their own, and Pickford had to be at his best to keep out a fierce Stephen O'Donnell volley after 30 minutes of the contest.

Pickford even nearly turned provider on the hour mark, with Raheem Sterling failing to make the most of a long ball from the stopper which put him through on goal.

Pickford is highly likely to be between the sticks for England's final group match against the Czech Republic tomorrow night (8pm).

If England win, they will top the group, a draw will see them finish second behind the Czechs, while a defeat could open the door for Scotland to overtake England and drop them down to third.

If that were the case, England would have to hope they are one of the four best third-placed teams eligible to go through to the last 16.

To have a chance of realistically qualifying for the knockout stages, Scotland have to beat Croatia tomorrow night (8pm). A win in that one could see them come second or third in Group D.

The Scots do have former Bantams stopper Jon McLaughlin in their 26-man squad, though Derby County goalkeeper David Marshall has started both of their games so far.
