Heath L’Estrange is hoping that all 15 staff who lost their jobs earlier this week can be reinstated if the Bulls find a buyer to stave off liquidation.

The joint-captain was left beaming with pride after helping the Exiles to an impressive win against England at the Galpharm Stadium on Wednesday night.

He dedicated the victory to Bulls fans and his Odsal team-mates, while also applauding Mick Potter’s decision to oversee training and team affairs for Sunday’s game with London Broncos.

Potter and his coaching team were all sacked by administrator Brendan Guilfoyle on Monday, along with club stalwarts such as Stuart Duffy, Debbie Charlton and Ryan Duckett.

Conditioner Geoff Evans has since been re-instated but L’Estrange said: “I think all the people that were made redundant deserve to come back in.

“They’ve been great colleagues to work with. We’ve never had any trouble with anyone at the club, administration and coaching staff.

“Leigh Beattie, our kit man, and the likes of Debbie Charlton, Stuart Duffy and Ryan Duckett, they’re the life of this club.

“We need people like that to stick around, otherwise there is no heart to the club. You need people who actually love the club and want to be there.

“Hopefully everything gets back to normal and the right people are put back in place.”

On the decision of the coaching staff to work without pay this weekend, popular hooker L’Estrange added: “The boys have got nothing against Brian Noble.

“Brian Noble is a great coach but Mick is our coach and has unfinished business.

“I’m not sure what will happen with the points, with us being in administration, but we want to make the play-offs.

“We’re tighter than ever and we just want to do it for each other and for the fans who turn up every week.

“All the boys have got so much respect for the coaching staff coming back. To come back unpaid, we’re a big family.

“If anyone ever needs anything, you ring Mick, you ring Franny (Cummins), you ring Lee (St Hilaire).

“We’ve all had our own personal troubles – I’ve had personal troubles the last two years – but you ring Mick, go for a coffee and he’ll talk you away from it.

“That’s all you need and that’s what a family does for each other.”

Football and media manager Duffy has also agreed to work without pay this weekend and said: “I’m doing this for the club to ensure the game can go ahead.”

L’Estrange outlined his hopes for the Bulls, saying: “I’m an adopted Bradfordian and I love it here.

“The win for the Exiles against England was for all the boys at Bradford and all the fans who’ve been supporting us through what’s been a tough week.

“I just want people to know – any potential investors – that this is a great club with a fantastic family atmosphere.

“I’m confident a buyer can be found because I’ve been told that four people have contacted the RFL about putting their hard-earned money into the club.”
