Brett Kearney and Craig Kopczak pulled up during the Bulls’ final training session and failed to feature in the team at Wakefield tonight.

This allowed Shad Royston to make his 200th appearance in the British game at full back and teenager John Bateman to gain only his second Super League start.

A reshuffle also saw winger Gareth Raynor back after a toe injury, with Patrick Ah Van – like Royston playing his final game for Bradford – moving into the centres in place of Michael Platt.

Steve Crossley was on the bench for only his second appearance in the 17-man squad this season.

Bulls: Shad Royston, Shaun Ainscough, Paul Sykes, Patrick Ah Van, Gareth Raynor, Ben Jeffries, Kyle Briggs, Andy Lynch, Danny Addy, Bryn Hargreaves, Olivier Elima, John Bateman, Jamie Langley. Interchange: Chev Walker, Steve Crossley, Adam O’Brien, Tom Burgess.
