Bradford Bulls reporter Connor Murphy presents Brett Kearney with the Telegraph & Argus Player of the Year award.
The 26-year-old full back or stand-off scooped the prize in his first season at the club by averaging 7.16 out of ten in the paper’s player ratings to beat off competition from skipper Andy Lynch (7.11) and departing hero Steve Menzies (7.03).
Last night’s annual awards ceremony also saw gongs for Heath L’Estrange (supporters’ player of the year and best forward), Steve Menzies (players’ player), Vinny Finigan (young player), Elliott Whitehead (prize Bull), while Kearney also collected the best back award.
