Nick Scruton could be handed a ban for his monster hit on Joel Clinton in yesterday's 40-4 win against Hull KR.

Even though the in-form prop was not punished at the time, he will face a Rugby Football League disciplinary panel tomorrow night after being charged for the incident.

Scruton is accused of a high tackle on the Rovers prop and could be banned up to two games if found guilty of the grade B offence.

The challenge was a flashpoint that had everyone talking in the aftermath of the game.

A monstrous hit, it completely flattened Clinton and set the tone for the Bulls' dominance of the game down the middle.

To his credit, Clinton kept hold of possession and got up to play the ball after a short break in play and a few shakes of the head.

Any ban would be a blow to Bradford, who are already light on props due to the long-term injury suffered by winter signing Danny Sculthorpe.

Scruton and starting prop partner Andy Lynch are among the most influential and effective duos in Super League and have been key to their side's recent five-game unbeaten run.
