BRADFORD Bulls Reserves drew 24-24 with Wakefield Trinity in a pulsating affair at the Mobile Rocket Stadium – with Joe Brown scoring his first try in Bradford colours since his return to the club in May.

The home side got off to a fast start in a tightly-contested first-half with both teams scoring three tries apiece with scores level at the break.

Wakefield nudged ahead in the closing stages before a late Cobi Green try levelled proceedings.

Jocelyn Landu touched down under the sticks for the game’s first try with former Bradford Academy star Luke Hooley converting.

Garreth Carvell’s side hit back through Dalton Grant – who went over for his second score in as many games with an effort in the corner.

Hooley then got in on the try-scoring act to re-establish the Wildcats’ advantage before the lead changed hands for a fourth time.

Thomas Doyle crashed over from close range for his second in two outings before Jake Lightowler’s powerful effort saw Bradford take the lead for the first time.

Callum Hodson latched onto a kick with seconds left of the first half for parity at the break following a thrilling opening 40.

The visitors came out of the sheds firing and early in the second half Joe Brown went over for his first try back in Bradford colours.

Back-to-back scores by Jordan Ray and Jack Jones put Wakefield back in front heading into the final quarter.

But Bradford were not to be denied a share of the spoils with Green pouncing on a loose ball to continue his impressive try-scoring form for the final act of a pulsating encounter.
