BRADFORD Bulls got back to winning ways in the Betfred Championship with a 16-0 win over Batley Bulldogs.

Here's T&A sports reporter Brad Deas' take on the derby clash:

Man of the match:

Jake Webster. There were a few candidates for this one, Foggin-Johnston with two fantastic tries and Ross Peltier charging like a train in the middle, but Webster was pivotal in everything good the Bulls did. Strong runs forward gained a lot of ground and his never-die attitude in defence helped the side to their first win-to-nil.

Tactics:

Captain Steve Crossley missed out due to illness, while Milnes continues to recover from the broken leg he suffered against Halifax. Kear rang the changes throughout the match and Peltier was put to great use, coming on and adding some power and potency to the Bulls line.

Moan of the match:

In truth, it was a game with little to shout about in terms of creativity. This was more about getting the job done, taking chances when they came, and staying resolute in defence. That’s exactly what the Bulls did, but there were no ‘wow’ moments.

Moment of the match:

Ross Peltier coming on for his 100th career appearance in the first-half stands out. It got the biggest applause and noise of the game and he immediately made an impact. The big centre was like a man-possessed, charging forward like a train, and gaining at least five to 10 metres on every run.
